Alex Palme - Lead Trainer & Director of Futsal Programming
Alexander J. Palme (Alex) is a native of Sanford, NC, but has been in the Triad for the last seven (7) years. He began playing soccer at the age of three (3) and played for various clubs throughout his youth career, including the North Carolina Olympic Development Program. Alex was a 4-year Varsity player for Southern Lee High School in Sanford, NC, where he captained the team his Junior and Senior years, earning honors of All-State and All-Regional Player, as well as the Conference Player of the Year for the Cape Fear Valley 3A Conference.
Alex attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he continued his playing career for the next four (4) years, earning Bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Sociology.
After graduation, Alex attended North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he graduated in the top 20% of his class while playing semi-professionally for Moros FC, in the United Premier Soccer League.
During his time with Moros FC, Alex captained the club and led them to a National Round of 16 appearance in back-to-back seasons, while fostering the growth of their youth and Under-23 programs.
Alex currently operates as a assistant general manager and the captain of Say Word FC, our partnered semi-pro soccer team out of Greensboro, NC, where he has been instrumental in growing the club and increasing community engagement and opportunities for players in the Triad, including national recognition through their inclusion in events such as The Soccer Tournament (TST).
Aside from his playing career, Alex has coached numerous teams and individual players from toddlers to semi-pro teams. He has also refereed for the United States Soccer Federation at a high youth and college level.
Alex is happily married to the love of his life, Kyndal, and together they enjoy their time with their two little girls and their pets.
